Inasphere Wines - Wine Tasting Experience with Enhanced Views

Norfolk county is one of Ontario’s most agricultural districts and an emerging wine region. Due to its fertile land and hearty growing season, this area became the centre of the Ontario tobacco belt. Over the last decade, farmers have started to diversify their crops to include lavender fields, bright vegetables, and flourishing grape vines.

Nestled along the scenic shorelines of Lake Ontario are several wineries showcasing their artisanal wines. The best way to taste these home-grown flavors is by experiencing a local wine tour organized by Ride the Bine. A tour company who enjoys sharing their love of local beverages and food through fully guided tours. Enjoy multiple tasting flights, a much-needed lunch with locally grown flavours, and a glimpse into how some of your favorite Norfolk County wines are produced. Whether a group of friends and family, a romantic getaway or a bachelorette party, these up-and-coming wineries are waiting to welcome you for an afternoon with a few glasses of vino.

A special stop along this tour is a winery with creditably the best view in all of Norfolk County. Inasphere Wines and Farm Market is perched on a hilltop overlooking 105 acres of marshland, estate grapes and Lake Erie in the distance. This farm winery is exclusively located in the UNESCO biosphere where they coexist in harmony with nature, resulting in the name, Inasphere.

Originally focusing on vegetable production, the farm expanded into the winery business in 2013. Producing smooth red wines, fruity whites, and sparkling wines, Inasphere has something to satisfy all palates.

Inasphere Wines takes pride in providing comfort and quality wine to their guests and the best spot to sample their wines is in brightly colored Muskoka chairs, taking in the impressive landscape.

Upgrading the simple lookout point, Inasphere Wines turned the unspoiled area into a clearly defined patio space, revamping their visitors experience. The owners poured a concrete patio, added additional furniture and blue shading to capture a fun, and comfortable atmosphere.

The traditional wooden pergola creates a focal point, directing guests to the new set up as soon as they step out of their vehicle. Here, wine sampling, local eats made with the fresh vegetables grown on the farm and boozy conversations happen, followed by a stunning photo opp.

Combined with a retractable canopy constructed of Harbor Time fabric, the area also protects guests from the occasional rain showers and scorching sun. The option of either an open bright sky or total weather protection is easily adjusted with a detachable handle.

Combining the new patio set up with large Muskoka chairs and high table seating, patrons now become hypnotised at the dramatic landscape while sipping on the unique flavours.

Before heading out to your next tasting, stop by the charming farmer’s market (during season) and take home locally grown tomatoes, cabbage, sweet corn and of course, a bottle of your favourite wine.
